Medical Physics - Radiation Physics

SELECTION OF STUDENTS

For the registration in the MSc course, the following students can be accepted upon selection: holders of Physics degrees issued by national Higher Education Institutes or by International Universities, whose diplomas or degrees are recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC).

Candidatures by holders of other higher education degrees, in the field of health and biology sciences, may also be accepted, provided that all necessary conditions for successful attendance of courses have been met.

A special examination board take care of and recommend the selection of postgraduate students.

Before the assessment and final selection procedures, candidates declare all the participating Medical Schools / Medical Departments in the priority order they wish, in order to prepare their thesis. Final classification of candidates for the preparation of thesis in the participating Medical Schools / Medical Departments, as defined in the call text, depending on their performance in the assessment and final selection procedures, as set forth below.

Assessment and final selection of students be performed according to the following criteria:

a) candidates’ knowledge and personality as arisen from their personal interview or/ and written examination, the material of which be predefined by the examination board; 

b) degree average grade; 

c) grades in undergraduate courses related to medical physics;

d) thesis performance, if applicable; 

e) research activity, if any (publications – announcements, etc).;

f) references;

g) very good command of English
