The School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) (https://mpl-en.med.uoa.gr/), the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (https://www.med.auth.gr/en/content/laboratory-medical-physics), the Department of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace (https://www.mbg.duth.gr/index.php/en/the-department), the Department of Medicine of the University of Ioannina (https://www.uoi.gr/ekpaideysi/sxoles-kai-tmimata/tmima-iatrikis/), the Department of Medicine of the University of Crete (https://medicalphysics.med.uoc.gr:8443/medicalphysics/index_en.jsp) and the Department of Physics of the University of Athens (http://en.phys.uoa.gr/), in collaboration with the Hellenic Atomic Energy Committee (https://eeae.gr/)and the Centre for Nuclear Research “Demokritos” (http://www.inp.demokritos.gr/), organize and operate the Interuniversity Postgraduate Program of Studies (Master of Science - MSc) titled: "Medical Physics – Radiation Physics". The program is administered by the School of Medicine of the NKUA. The program is staffed by members of the collaborating University Faculties / Departments, scientists of Hellenic Atomic Energy Commission, researchers of Centre for Nuclear Research “Demokritos”, as well as faculty members of other universities in Greece. Program’s duration is three academic semesters. Both the theoretical education and the laboratory exercises of the students are carried out during the first two semesters in the facilities of the Medical School, of the Department of Physics of the NKUA, as well as in the facilities of ΕΕΑΕ and the Centre for Nuclear Research “Demokritos”. The third semester, which concerns the writing of students’ thesis, takes place in the facilities of the Medical Schools / Departments of the collaborating institutions.
